Rachael’s Almond Joy

An adult version of a Halloween candy bar – a delicious and decadent boozy treat to savor on a crisp Halloween evening, as the kids laugh and scamper between the houses, and the leaves twirl in the wind, and the jack-o-lanterns burn bright.

A recipe inspired by the winner of the 2020 Fall Recipe Challenge, Rachael Citron.

Ingredients:
1 oz Blended Aged Rum
1 oz Batavia Arrak (can substitute for more rum)
0.75 oz Orgeat Syrup
.25 oz Heavy Cream or Coconut Cream
0.25 oz Creme de Cacao

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with dark chocolate shavings.

White Wine Mule

Ingredients:
1 oz Ginger Citrus Mixer
4 oz Dry White Wine
0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Seltzer

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker on ice. Shake and strain into a copper mule mug filled with ice and top off with seltzer.

Lavender Honey Spritz

Ingredients:
1 oz Lavender Honey Mixer
4 oz Dry White Wine
0.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker on ice. Shake and strain into a chilled wine glass filled with crushed ice.

Blackberry Pomegranate Sangria

Ingredients:
1 oz Blackberry Pomegranate Mixer
4 oz Dry Red Wine
0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker on ice. Shake and open pour into a chilled wine glass.

Hibiscus Rose Spritz

Ingredients:
1 oz Hibiscus Rose Mixer
4 oz Dry White Wine
0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker on ice. Shake and strain into a wine glass filled with crushed ice.

The Saturn

1.25 oz Gin
0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
0.5 oz Passionfruit Syrup
0.25 oz Orgeat Syrup
0.25 oz Falernum

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a coup glass before garnishing with a Dried Lemon Wheel.

The Scofflaw

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Rye Whiskey
1 oz Dry Vermouth
0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
0.5 oz Grenadine Syrup
2 dashes Orange Bitters

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with an orange peel.

The 1944 Mai Tai

Ingredients:

2 oz Blended Aged Rum
0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
0.5 oz Dry Curaçao
0.5 oz Orgeat Syrup

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a double old fashioned glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.

The Penicillin

Ingredients:

2 oz Blended Scotch Whiskey
1.5 oz Ginger Citrus Mixer
0.5 Fresh Lemon Juice
0.25 oz Single Malt Scotch

Combine the first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into an ice filled rocks glass. Pour the single malt scotch over a bar spoon into the glass so that it floats.

Smokey & The Bandit

Ingredients:

1 oz Cucumber Jalapeño Mixer
0.75 Mezcal
1 oz Rye Whiskey
0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake and pour into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a Dried Lime Wheel and dash of cayenne.
